What cookies are

Cookies and similar browser storage help websites remember information. We keep our use of them limited and give you a choice before optional measurement starts.

Essential storage

The website stores your cookie choice so it does not ask on every visit. The private requests dashboard also uses a secure sign-in cookie, but ordinary visitors do not use it. These functions are necessary for the choices or services you request.

Optional analytics and advertising measurement

If you select “Accept measurement”, Google Analytics helps us understand visits, popular birthday dates, book requests and clicks leading to Amazon. Google Ads receives measurement data to help connect advert clicks with activity on this website. Google may receive page addresses, browser and device information, cookie identifiers and advertising click identifiers. Both services remain off if you reject. Google may set cookies such as _ga, _ga_* and _gcl_*. Personalised advertising is disabled. A click to Amazon is not a confirmed purchase.

Changing your choice

Use the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of the website at any time. If you withdraw consent after accepting measurement, the page reloads without starting either Google measurement service again. You can also remove existing cookies through your browser settings.
